Wanni Security Forces Commander Major General Jagath Jayasuriya and Jaffna Security Forces Commander Major General Mendaka Samarasinghe met in the centre of Elephant Pass yesterday to mark the historic victory of the liberation of Elephant Pass and A-9 road by the Security Forces. Here 58 Division Commander Brigadier Shavendra Silva and 53 Division Commander Brigadier Kamal Gunaratne hug each other while 55 Division Commander Brigadier Prasanna Silva looks on at this historic moment as troops exchanged national flags in the centre to mark this victory.
