Monday Nov 16, 2009 The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says there is no fuel shortage and a cargo vessel which transported fuel to the country is currently being unloaded to the bowsers for the fuel to be transported and distributed to the respective fuel stations.
When asked about some fuel stations running out of fuel today, Asoka Theradeniya, Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation told Daily Mirror Online that the petrol stations are only required to send the relevant indexes on time and that their supplies will be dispatched there after, so there is no reason for a shortage in supply.
Meanwhile Indian Oil Company Managing Director, Suresh Kumar said that 50 bowsers had been dispatched yesterday from Tricomallee and another 50 will be dispatched today to keep a constant supply of fuel, without any disruptions.
